It was bound to happen...

It's official. This morning 2+ hours All About the Mouse achieved the Mongello standard for show length.

Which begs this question guys. How did you know I was driving to Centerville this afternoon?

Good grief! I've holding back on Lou's shows just because I haven't had time to listen to them (I like to listen to the entire show with out stopping - That way I don't get lost). I hope I won't have to start holding off AATM. I'll never catch up then!

Did the Cornfest 10K this am on very difficult trails in 59:49. Kind of slow, but terrain was not conducive to fast times.

Here is the Harvest, AL Cornfest route (out and back was 8 miles total):

CornFest run completed. Miles 6.2
time 45:59.

I was supposed to start at 8am this morning. But MGreene decided he was going to go off the trail and through the corn stalks and they ended up all over the begining of the trails. So I was not able to start till 8:07am. Jeff tell the grounds crew I said good job on the quick clean up. I have to say though it was a great day for a run. Cool breezes and a little sun and lots of shade. But could of done with out the herring whips after the race though.;)

Yep, I was trying to do a Mickey shaped crop circle, but kind of lost my bearings and decided just to push to finish in under 1 hour. Congrats on the finish time, Mike, that will be tough to beat!

Mike and Mike congrats on two great runs. Thanks for posting your route mgreene. Work had me up till 1:30AM CST. Needless to say I missed getting out the door before sunrise as I planned. But there is no time like the present. I should be out the door here at 9:00AM.

If you look, the green section on the left at the very beginning of the route is corn fields! They have replaced lots of the cotton fields around here this year (ethanol production, I guess).

I just got back from my first ever 10K - the Corn Fun Fest Run (or something like that)!! I did it in 1 hr, 26 mins, which is a 13.8 min/mile average. I'm very happy with that -- I was hoping to be just under 15 min miles. There were also moments when I felt like a real runner!! I'm really glad you thought of this Jeff -- it was so different than just a training run. I thought about all the TVers and it made me work a little harder!
