Brief Post

Promise another trip report is coming. Need to get to work so this will be short. Consistancy in exercise is still good (60 plus miles post Disney) but I continue to make poor food choices out of boredom and stress. I have decided to place a "Sabotage" list in the right hand column of this blog. Perhaps facing this and staying honest will help me stay on track.

What can I do to help??

I'm going through the poor food choice thing as well. :-( I know I'm not making a good choice when I make it, but do it anyhow. It's like I think all the extra miles will take care of it...and for the most part they keep me stable, but the more I do it the more routine it will become, which could be trouble down the road. Not sure what we can all do to help each other out on this...maybe a daily intervention? LOL I'm going to try and post how I did on evening snacking, maybe the public shame will work...Just a thought.

I'm doing terrible with food choices. Just terrible...

I like the sabotage idea... I may steal it from you.

Will you get rid of that Mt. Dew. obsession of yours. It is just pure sugar, water and mellon flavoring!

WHAT?!?! Mt. Dew contains no real mellon? Damn it!

Thanks guys. This has been a big issue for me over the past year. The Sabotage idea is really just another way of being accountable. I'm not like beating myself up unmercifully or anything like that. It just seems that almost every night I throw a wrench into the works. (hench the picture of Chaplin) I know if I can fend off some of these poor choices the weight will come off.

But hey we can all face these things down. I'm very pleased with my exercise consistency, it should help me hit the ground running if we ever see dry pavement again.

Half the battle - you've won half the battle by keeping the exercise goinng.

Like you, and apparently everyone else too, I'm making bad food choices. I've started cooking my meals and making good choices there, but the darn peanut butter keeps calling to me. I just need to get it out of the house and not bring it back in. Why can I pass up all the bad things in the store, but I have to buy PB when I know I'll eat too often? Stupid right.

We'll all figure out a way to get through this and move on to fix other parts of our lives that need some help!

King of Stupid Food Choices here. Thought I'd chime in.

Is it strange that I take a slice of sharp cheddar cheese and spread peanut butter & choke cherry preserves on it? If I weren't a dude I'd wonder if I were pregnant.

I have no idea why, but when I'm really banging out the workouts I get weird cravings. This is one of them.

It doesn't matter what your vice is. As long as you just eat a little bit of it, you'll be fine.
