What is the deal with me?
I really do not understand.

It seems that only yesterday,
I was committed to a plan.

A plan to turn my life around,
Too finally make a stand.

Better living through being fit,
Yeah I have done that bit.

For two long years now,
I had some nice successes.

But to be quite honest, today,
The mental stuff is rough.

I have days filled with apathy,
Which, I just don’t understand.

I have let things go for far too long,
I can feel it in and on my bones.

I’m right back were I started from.
And though it is hard to take,

I would much rather confess it here.
Than to go on being fake.

And yet, when my mind is busy making up excuses,
There remains one constant hope.

I do have friends out there,
Who will help me, stay afloat.

That is very touching and to the point. I feel the same way.
Thanks for being there. :)

I'll keep you afloat if you keep me afloat. How's that deal?

You'll get back out there... I'm sure. Especially with us helping.

Boy, you do have a way with words. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Don't worry, you'll get going again and it'll feel great!

Okay Jeffy. You and me, man. We've taken HUGE strides forward, and now are stumbling back a bit.

I'm in this with you, and trust me - we BOTH have great reasons to kick ourselves into gear. E-mail me.

I believe in you my friend!

I feel you, man. I have not done well at all since the race. I planned to take some time off to try to heal some persistent knee and hip issues. I never dreamed that I would take such a huge step back in such a short time. It is big effort now for me to run 3 miles. I ran 13 two months ago and now have trouble with 3?!? What's with that.

I need to get back in the saddle and get in gear. It looks like spring is about to break. Hopefully the weather will provide motivation to get out on some longer runs.

Here's to stepping it back up and getting back in shape.
